Lemonade is a staple of summertime. After spending some time out in the sun, this is one of the best ways to get cool and relax. This peppermint lemonade recipe is a great spin on a tasty classic.
- One fresh lemon
- 1.25 cups of white sugar
- 0.5 cup of mint leaves
- 12 oz. of lemonade concentrate
Start by pouring the thawed concentrate into a cooler or pitcher, with a spout. Pour in sufficient water to make one gallon. Grate the lemon to add some zest to the solution in the pitcher. Next, squeeze the rest of the juice from the lemon into the mixture. Crush the leaves of mint in a tiny bowl and mix in some sugar with a wooden spoon. Add this to the lemonade and allow it to chill for many hours. Don’t forget to strain out the zest and leaves before serving over ice.
